Welcome to the THP-Plus Statewide Implementation Project!

The THP-Plus Statewide Implementation Project is a collaboration between the John Burton Foundation, the California Department of Social Services, and the Corporation for Supportive Housing. The goal of the Project is to reduce homelessness among former foster care and probation youth by expanding access to the Transitional Housing Placement Plus Program (THP-Plus). THP-Plus is administered by the California Department of Social Services, and provides affordable housing and a wide range of supportive services, including job training, educational support, and counseling. The project seeks to expand access to THP-Plus throughout the state through training, technical assistance, and advocacy.

Protect THP-Plus. Write a letter to Speaker-elect, John Pérez about the importance of THP-Plus, and to ask for his commitment to protecting this vital program. On January 8th, Governor Schwarzenegger released his proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2010-11. Among his budget proposals was the complete elimination of THP-Plus funding if the state is unable to secure an additional $6.9 billion in federal funding.
